First-Week Setup Checklist After Your Electric Guitar Arrives

Electric guitar setup checklist

1. Keep the packaging first

Before throwing away the box, check the guitar, accessories, case or gig bag and finish. Keep the original packaging until you are sure everything arrived safely.

2. Tune before judging sound

New guitars often arrive detuned because strings move during shipping. Tune the guitar first, play lightly, then tune again. New strings may need several cycles before they stabilize.

3. Check the included package

M30 includes a padded gig bag, strap, cable, picks, cloth, pouch, wrench, tremolo arm, extra strings, manual and service card. Stage-T includes a hard case, tuner, strap, cable, picks, cloth, tools, manual and service card.

4. Test each pickup position

Plug into a compatible guitar amp or audio interface. Test the volume, tone, pickup selector and cable connection. If anything sounds wrong, record a short video showing the full signal chain.

5. Store it safely

Avoid direct sunlight, high heat, moisture and extreme dryness. Wipe strings and contact areas with a soft dry cloth after playing.
